Early Career: from small stage to professional orchestra
Dory Harsa, whose full name is Dory Haryanto Eka Saputra, was born in Solo on November 27 1993. His musical career has its roots since high school, when he replaced his father as drummer. His father was a musician and senior drummer — so a love of music was instilled from childhood.
Since 2008, Dory Harsa has joined the late music group. Didi Kempot, participated in a number of concerts and appeared on many campursari/dangdut stages, until his big name became increasingly known.
Career Evolution: from drums to microphone
Not just a drummer, Dory Harsa then expanded as a singer. His melodious voice, coupled with attractive looks and a typical modern Javanese pop/dangdut character, paved the way for him to shine personally.
Some of the singles he released include: “Sing Doesn’t Love to Go Away”, “Ojo I don’t-I don’t”And “Enough is enough” — these songs were enjoyed by lovers of Javanese pop/dangdut music.
In 2020, Dory and Mortand duet with Nella Kharisma through a song Banyu Moto. This song was successful in attracting public attention and made their name even more widely known.
Achievements & Recognition in the Industry
Dory Harsa’s dedication and hard work were not in vain. He has received several awards, including from the 2020 Ambyar Awards as Latest Newcomers And Most Favorite Male Singer.
Apart from that, his collaboration with Nella also received appreciation from the public as part of the much-loved dangdut/dangdut-koplo/Javanese-pop movement.
Personal Life & Dynamics
Dory Harsa married Nella Kharisma on August 15 2020 — a marriage that further strengthened their collaboration and careers.
Previously, he was married to Thari Eka and had two children. From his marriage to Nella, he had another child. Dory’s personal and professional life is often in the spotlight — but she continues to maintain consistency and work.
2025 & New Hope this Year
Even though the world of music continues to change, Dory Harsa remains relevant as a performer of modern Javanese pop/dangdut music. He continues to be active in making music, collaborating and producing works. With experience from the traditional campursari stage to the national stage — Dory brings a different color: from cultural roots, to the modernity of Indonesian music.
Dory Harsa’s career is proof that a musical journey can start from simple things: drumming on a small stage, enthusiasm to continue working, to becoming a singer with a unique identity. From Solo to the national stage — from drum beats to hit songs and the big stage — Dory has written an inspiring story.
As a young generation who values tradition and continues to evolve, Dory Harsa’s struggle reminds us: with hard work, talent and musical courage, anyone can make their dreams come true.
